Middle school theater students take a semester-long class. Through a variety of acting exercises, improvisation games and scene work, students develop confidence, teamwork and communication skills. Each semester culminates in a final production, allowing young actors to experience the excitement of live performance.
Our high school theater classes run year-round and offer students a unique, immersive experience in the performing arts, with a focus on both the craft of acting and the technical aspects of theater production. The program typically begins in the fall with an ambitious play, where students collaborate through auditions, rehearsals and backstage efforts to bring the script to life.
Throughout the year, participants refine their skills in acting, directing, set design, lighting and sound; as well as preparing for additional performances or projects. The extended time frame allows for deeper exploration of more complex roles and productions, fostering a sense of dedication and teamwork among students.
The annual spring musical is the highlight of the theater season; eagerly anticipated by both the cast and the audience. It’s a time when students from several grade levels come together to showcase their talents in a dazzling, high-energy production that combines singing, dancing and acting. The spring musical is more than just a show, it’s an unforgettable celebration of artistic expression and teamwork.
